Artist's Description
A muscular native with a headband and traditional attire is depicted squatting, seemingly in a moment of rest or contemplation. The background glows with a warm, golden hue that casts a soft light on the subject, highlighting his reflective pose. My backgrond is part mesoamerican and I have always been curious about my culture, and how people looked back then in way that is approachable and relateable, and not just in generic paintings or black and white photos - this allows you to step into the picture and really get a feel for him. There will be a whole series on these.
