Description
A dramatic scene unfolds with a commanding figure pointing towards another who holds broken scales, symbolizing justice. The sky is filled with swirling clouds, and a diverse assembly observes.
This commanding figure is Donald Trump, as he points his figure accusingly towards Kamala Harris, who holds the scales of justice, broken, symbolizing how half of the country rejected her claim for power. Founding fathers surround him while he stands on his pedestal, while lady liberty, with her blindfold on, holds the broken scale in her hand. She hides her hand from the right, and holds broken justice from her left.
Kamala, who ran on nothing other than vitriol for her opponent, was soundly rejected by the very democracy she claimed she was trying to protect, while trump, on his third attempt, the pedestals representing the three, finally takes his place as president once more. The three also represents his tiers as president, the majority in the house, and the majority in the senate. MAGA!
The moral of the story? You have to tell the American people what you actually plan to offer them. She avoided revealing her policy on several fronts, and in the end, aside from those who wanted to see the first female American president or had issues for abortion, the American people simply did not trust her, just as they did not trust Hillary Clinton. Many around the world breathe a sigh of relief. It's not that people are against a woman of colour being president - but not just any person will do. Merit and competence over identity politics.
