Description
This image shows a tiny Castlerigg Stone Circle set in its wider context as viewed from a small hill (or fell as the locals call them) near Keswick in Cumbria called Latrigg. There were plenty of low broken clouds allowing sunbeams to play across the scene creating a lovely hazy effect.
The two low hills in the background are Low Rigg and High Rigg with line of larger fells behind leading south towards Helvellyn. The grazing area to the right of the photo is called Dale Bottom.
